Gaza, May 2008: I.D.F. soldiers blew up the door of the a-Daghameh family home, killing the mother and leaving her body with her children. B'Tselem has the testimony of one of the children, Samira a-Daghameh, age 13. I inquired of B'Tselem whether there was any progress in the investigation of this case. Today (26 January 2009) a staff member replied that B'Tselem filed a complaint with the legal department for operational issues (in the I.D.F.), and received a response that the matter was under investigation. A reminder, sent several months later, has yet to elicit a reply. |
