The IDF continues to deny Twane village (in the South Hebron hills) connection with the electric network. On Wednesday, 25/11/09, Civil Administration officials arrived at the entrance to the village, accompanied by security forces, uprooted two electricity poles that were already installed in order to connect the village to the Palestinian electricity grid (re. Don't say #187). Inhabitants and human rights activists were not alllowed to approach as the area was declared a 'closed military zone'. The poles were expropriated.
After 61 days of detention and interrogation nothing could be found against Muhammad 'Othman (Re Don't say #181) of Jayyus village, an activist against the Separation Fence, so he was simply sent to administrative detention (imprisoned without trial) for three months ...
