    About Accuracy
In war, truth is the first casualty. So in making peace, truth has first priority. If we have even a chance of making peace, it is not with the enemy whom we have demonized, but with the enemy who, like us, is human. Yet many people on each side are busy demonizing the other side, not seeing - or not caring - that their distortions are a form of warmongering.

Bassem Eid, the director of the Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group, makes this point eloquently in his essay, "The media war helps no one". Accuracy, like charity, begins in the home.
